2017年に香川大学農学部修士課程を卒業しました。その後、食品科学愛媛大学生物科学科で博士課程の勉強を続けました。私の研究テーマは1-メチルシクロプロペン(1-MCP)です。1-MCPはエチレンの製造を遅らせることで、果物と野菜を長期間で保存することが出来ます。まず1-MCPを合成し、シクロデキストリンに封入し、機能性パッケージングを作りました。この機能性パッケージングにより、果物は輸送や販売しているときに果物の熟成、老化や腐敗を抑制することが出来ます。これで生産者は果物の品質のコントロールとフルーツロスを減らすことができます。修士課程からこのテーマについて必死に勉強して、実験しながら1-MCPを学ぶ意欲と熱意が生まれました。
研究紹介(About my Research)
Fruit losses by ripening is a critical problem during postharvest processing because of its perishable and biological characteristics. In addition, environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity which dramatically changes during unloading container, also promoted on decreasing fruit quality. Therefore, an additional functions of fruit packaging for such aspects as prolonged shelf life and enhanced consumer convenience will be worthwhile during post-harvest processing and distribution handling.
1-Methylcyclopropne (1-MCP) which was reported as an ethylene inhibitor agent that effective to retard the ripening rate in fruits. Many studies have shown the promising effects of 1-MCP in delaying ripening and prolonging the shelf life of fruits. My research focused on the development of a controlled-release system of 1-MCP as an ethylene inhibitor agent by the coating paper to make functional packaging for fruit. The additional function of a 1-methylcyclopropene inclusion complex powder with a controlled-release system using coated paper is to delay ripening and to prolong the shelf life of fruit.
My research focused on the development of a controlled-release system of 1-MCP by the coating paper to make functional packaging for fruit and vegetables. Paper packaging can be used for fruit during transportation and product selling. The additional function of a 1-methylcyclopropene inclusion complex powder with a controlled-release system using coated paper can delay ripening and to prolong the shelf life of fruit and reduce the cost of production compared with other materials.
