こんにちは、私の名前はエリックです。メキシコ出身です。私は８年間、弁護士として人々の人権のために働いてきました。私が初めて日本文化に興味を持ったのは村上春樹の本がきっかけでした。2011年、初めて観光客として日本に来て、その文化に感銘を受け、その後、2015年に広島大学国際開発協力研究科（IDEC）平和共生講座の修士課程に入学しました。そして現在は博士課程の学生です。私の研究の関心は、社会正義と草の根レベルの人々の抵抗です。特に、人々が、不平等な開発と生態学的な抑圧のもとになっている覇権派の支配に、どのように抵抗するのかに興味を持っています。

Hello, my name is Erick, and I’m from Mexico where I was a lawyer and had worked for human rights for 8 years. My first contact with the Japanese culture was through the literature, particularly Haruki Murakami, which brought me to Japan. In 2011, I came to Japan for the first time as a tourist and intrigued by its culture, I came back in 2015 as a master’s student at the Department of Peace and Coexistence of the Graduate School for International Development and Cooperation (IDEC) of Hiroshima University. I am now a PhD student. My research interests are the social justice and the way of resistance practised at the grassroots level. Mainly, I am interested in how people resist hegemonic narratives which underlie uneven development and ecological depredation.
